Dedicated To Improving Pharmaceutical Cold-Chain Distribution Practices
Re: PDA Schedules 2nd European Conference & Training for Pharmaceutical Cold Chain Management
by Umit Kartoglu
Dear Kevin and Rafik, First of all, I would like to thank to Rafik (and Georg Roessling of PDA) for inviting me and Mr Garnett (WHO consultant) to this imoprtant training course as observers. I enjoyed the past two days... You were both great... full of ethusiasm, positive energy and passion... The amount of information you managed to pass onto trainees was enourmous... and especially the finishing game of the course "thermal jeopardy" - very creative... Having involved in designing, conducting and evaluating training courses on vaccine management and vaccine quality at the World Health Organization in Geneva and previously in other settings, I am aware of the challenges you face when delivering the course for the first time... you work with assumptions regarding the number of participants, their knowledge and skill levels, flow of the sessions and timing... You both did a great job, first in showing the courage, taking the challenge, then creating a positive learning climate in the classroom... You let every participant ask questions anytime they wanted and you never let anyone down without an answer and/or discussion... I strongly believe that with the passion you have and the improved design of delivery methodology, this training course will fill a big gap... I would also like to thank PDA for taking the leadership in initiating this course... Great job... Cheers, UMIT KARTOGLU Scientist, WHO camp Berlin
